Article Reflection

1) Patrica Piccinini's biotechnology art work is like another version of scientific fictions, her works have many in common with the newly idea of aliens or human being in the far future. In fact, her works provide a lot of guesses and predictions about the human-like creatures, or even another high intelligent animal on an anonymous planet.

Ai Weiwei's art work is fairly debatable and controversial since his art work is very radical and irrational, and as a civilian, he didn't played his role well. His art work could be interpreted -by the western journalists- as anti-corruption, revealing the truth or the courage to stand out; whereas, to be practical and critical and to see through Chinese people's lens, his art work is full of judgments without evidence backing them up and full of individualism and showing off purpose. His works ridiculously degraded China and the message he was conveying was irresponsible. However, no one can tell him not to think so, I guess that tells us that art works contains authors' personal ethics and opinion and whether they should be responsible for their work is a complex problem.

2) By contacting with those real examples, I comprehend the idea of the author of the article even better, It is true that aesthetics sometimes has a subtle and inseparable relationship with knowledge.

3)I agree, I think art work is something that reconstruct the conceptual knowledge we've known in daily life in a creative and eye-opening way. For example, the mobius bond, it is a simple but complicated art work that is not hard for normal people to understand at all, but people get surprised and amazed by the freshness of making something strange out of things they know. Thus, in this way, people have a new perspective on the commonplaces they see everyday and become more asthetic and creative under the effect of art work.
