Believe or not, we've learned somethings instructive and inspiring in Business Management class that relates to the things we were talking about in TOK class -- science and art.

We have been introduced to the concept of Big Five Traits in psychology:

Openness,

extroversion,

conscientiousness,

agreeableness

neuroticism.

Speaking of the first trait -- Openness. An interesting idea was brought up by Mr. Klocek, that both scientists and artists are people who has high openness; which means they must be curious, innovative and will to embrace the new things. Generally, they are more creative, they don't stick to the status quo and they are not easily satisfied by the things already there.

It is true for scientist and artists -- scientists depends on imagination skills and all kinds of "crazy""unusual" ideas to develop science; as well as artist, they have to be highly open-minded to create something new and eye-opening.

By exploring the Big 5 traits, I found a new perspective of viewing the relationship between art and science. It indeed broadened my horizon and made me have more various opinions.
