Today in TOK class, two math teachers whom all know, were invited there to introduce their stories about math and to answer questions prepared from the students about math.

The question I asked was : " Do both of you think that math somehow influences your way of viewing the world?" After a few seconds of contemplation, they started one after another. Basically, their answers were "yes". They had an accord on the effect which math brought to their life, they said that math taught them how to solve problems in life, how to analyze daily phenomenon in a logical manner. I found their ideas fairly reasonable and realistic. No wonder they both chose math as major and occupation and enjoyed it with pleasure.

After a round of asking, the lesson ended in an intoxicating atmosphere of pondering and reflecting. There's no gainsaying the joy during which we were colliding our opinions upon the air above the classroom.

In a nut shell, the conversation was eye-opening and profound, we learned so many new things from our old teachers and we were utterly concentrating in their stories. Surprisingly, we got to know the past of these two lovely math teachers and we respect that, meanwhile we thank them for not only teaching the academic knowledge but also sharing those wonderful stories. It was absolutely an unforgettable lesson to tell the truth.
